This project explores the pervasive and visceral experience of burnout, a deeply personal and widely shared condition in today’s fast-paced, overconnected world. The work captures the fragmented nature of existence under relentless demands and expectations through a combination of photographs and a central sculptural piece. The photographs serve as intimate vignettes, depicting moments of exhaustion, alienation, and stillness—quiet yet heavy images that reflect burnout's mental and emotional toll. Natural and constructed settings intertwine, blurring the line between what is imposed on us and what we internalize. Each frame is imbued with a sense of fragility and stasis, as if time itself has been suspended in the overwhelming pursuit of productivity.
The accompanying sculpture is the physical manifestation of burnout—a tactile representation of the invisible forces that crush, bind, and distort. Materials used in the sculpture may evoke industrial wear, organic decay, or even technological overload, creating a textural landscape that mirrors the multifaceted layers of this condition. This project aims to give form to the intangible and provoke reflection on the societal structures and personal habits that perpetuate burnout. At its core, the work is a plea for awareness, balance, and self-reclamation in a world that often asks too much of us.
